It’s Officially the Season

Christmas dish towels

My iPod is full of Christmas music. All of our decorations are up (except our tree, which we’ll get next weekend). My blog has a Christmas (okay, winter) theme. And I’ve watched at least three Christmas movies in the past 36 hours. It is definitely the holiday season.

Dave and I got back into town around 6 last night, and I went straight for the boxes of Christmas decorations. I spent last night and some of today putting up decorations while watching Christmas movies (beginning with The Santa Clause; currently up is Elf). Though I still have a couple of things I want to buy, now we’re in Christmas mode.

So in order to extend the Christmas festivities from my house to my blog, I thought I’d include little snippets of my holiday decor from now until the big day (or until I run out of pictures of holiday decor). Enjoy! Today’s photo decoration is my favorite new decoration, some Martha Stewart (oh how I love Martha Stewart) dish towels that my mom bought me as an early stocking stuffer. Aren’t they fabulous? Maybe it’s sad that I get so excited about dish towels, but I think they’re festive and wonderful – just like the Christmas season.

You Think You Know Me?

I am a wife, "mom" to my dog Potter, daughter, sister, (awesome) aunt, friend, grad student, English teacher, book-a-holic, want-to-be-chef, beginning knitter, traveler, and collector of hobbies. This blog is the place I keep up with friends and family who live too far away, let people in who might not know me so well, jot down my thoughts, and document my life so it doesn't pass by without my noticing. Take a look around. Leave a comment. Point and laugh. Enjoy.
